MOTHS
There are more than 4000 moth species in Australia. Most are nocturnal, indistinctive and rather dull. Many also have warning colors and itching hairs for their protection. Larvae are caterpillars and even most of these are well hidden. Here are some examples.

EMPEROR GUM MOTHS
The emperor gum moth Opidodiphthera eucalypti feeds on Eucalyptus and peppercorn trees.

CASEMOTHS
There creatures build a protective cover from sticks and leaves. Females generally have no wings and live their entire lives inside their case.
